About the book
Among Clementa’s characters are some real heroes and heroines. They’re very human, though, and the heroines are as formidable as the heroes. They carry the story up to thrilling climaxes of triumph or tragedy—or both at the same time. An epic takes in a lot of events, a lot of places and characters. In Clementa’s 377 pages no character important to the story is left out, and some not-so-important ones come forward as well. Keeping them straight might take an effort, but this large cast is part of what makes Clementa, like other epics, such a rich reading experience. |
