Clementa, a novel

About the book

Clementa, a novelClementa is an epic tale of rebellion set in a future world where humankind has learned how to thrive in harmony with a flourishing Nature. On-the-spot observers tell how the oppressors (some of whom are admirable) and the oppressed (some of whom will make you shudder) hurtle through a season of transformative events culminating in battles that they fight with bows and arrows, swords and spears.

Among Clementa’s characters are some real heroes and heroines. They’re very human, though, and the heroines are as formidable as the heroes. They carry the story up to thrilling climaxes of triumph or tragedy—or both at the same time.

An epic takes in a lot of events, a lot of places and characters. In Clementa’s 377 pages no character important to the story is left out, and some not-so-important ones come forward as well. Keeping them straight might take an effort, but this large cast is part of what makes Clementa, like other epics, such a rich reading experience.
